Web 2.0 and the "Real" World
I had a great day yesterday. I got to have a great conversation with Victoria Pynchon of the Settle It Now Blog and ADR fame. I also had a great time at the AGC of Virginia Richmond Chapter networking meeting. Hanging out with friends, clients and potential clients and actually shaking hands with them reminded me that, even in this Web 2.0 (or 4.0 as Rex Gradeless has to say) world, the real world exists and we must have a real world presence.
Both of these experiences helped refresh me and remind me that while I would never have met many of the great people that I now know (among them Victoria Pynchon, Susan Cartier Liebel and the great Solo Practice University folks among others to numerous to go through here), it is their "real world" presence that makes them great to know. Web 2.0 is a medium I use and use frequently (sometimes too frequently), but it is only a part of any good strategy.
It was great to be reminded of this yesterday and I hope to keep the balance.
