As my firm rolls out its business triage team, I have been thinking of how that can help the construction contractors that I represent on a daily basis. Many, if not all, of those in this economically hurting sector of the economy need the same sort of services from a different perspective. Mechanic's liens will be more important as general contractors go out of business and subcontractors need help with collections. Proper incorporation will be more important because personal assets need to be protected from creditors. Firewalls will be necessary where they may not have been before. I know that I can help out clients with protecting them from risk and assuring that they survive the construction crunch.
